Libyan Technicals of Ajdabiya, 2011
Abdul and Waled on a technical with S-5 rocket pods and a KPV-1 HMG
These technicals was part of the 2011 'Arab Spring', belonging to Anti- Qaddafi forces in the area around Ajdabiya, Northeastern Libya, which was involved in pretty heavy fighting and two major battles between February and March of 2011. These photo were taken in May, when a photographer, James Mollison, had an assistant wave down passing technicals on the highway approaching the city and the fighting inside proper for some photographs.
