Continuing on from the lessons learned in the desert during the first World War, Commonwealth forces continued operating converted vehicles, with the most well known belonging to the British L Detachment, Special Air Service, with this example being jeep that is armed with twin Vickers GO 303. machineguns on a rear mount, a single forward facing Vickers GO and an front facing M2 50. calibre heavy machinegun. North Africa, early 1943.
